I'm passionate about technology and its potential to drive positive change, with a particular interest in the African tech ecosystem. January 2023 – July 2023 | Zambia

  • Contributed to Django API backend for startup Nopend, automating payment collection on credit purchases for SMEs. Responsibilities included, but were not limited to, designing data models and creating Django API endpoints.

  • Building Finite State Transducers (FST) for Gboard. FST constructed from a ruleset and enables transliteration from Latin alphabet to Malayalam during keyboard input. See section under transliteration here.

December 2021 - April 2022 | The University of Edinburgh

  • Built machine translation models as part of the Institute for Language Cognition and Computation on an EU funded translation project. Project was centred around the Firefox translations pipeline.
