Backend Developer | Nopend
January 2023 – July 2023 | Zambia
- Contributed to Django API backend for startup Nopend, automating payment collection on credit purchases for SMEs. Responsibilities included, but were not limited to, designing data models and creating Django API endpoints.
SWE Intern | Google
June 2022 – September 2022 | Google, UK
- Building Finite State Transducers (FST) for Gboard. FST constructed from a ruleset and enables transliteration from Latin alphabet to Malayalam during keyboard input. See section under transliteration here.
Research Assistant
December 2021 - April 2022 | The University of Edinburgh
- Built machine translation models as part of the Institute for Language Cognition and Computation on an EU funded translation project. Project was centred around the Firefox translations pipeline.
STEP Intern

- Collaborated on text processing pipeline for the Android Text Classifier Service, enabling multi-language support for your trusty [Smart Linkify](https://research.google/blog/the-machine-learning-behind-android-smart-linkify/) feature in Android.

- Designed C and Arduino projects for bi-weekly workshops.
Assistant Android Developer

- Designed UI in Adobe XD, implemented in Java using Android SDK, optimized for Android 10 gestures, and intergrated Realm DB for image storage/retrieval.
